RL26 is outstanding in my 22creed and 25x284, once the temps start to climb I get random velocities. Just keep that in mind on hot days. I since went to H4350 in my 22, shoots just as good, just better temp stability for those hot days.

Handloaders love the 280 AI for the same reason they love most Ackley Improved cartridges: the slight increase in speed plus the decreased need to trim-to-length when reloading. H4831, H1000, RL23, RL26 would be my powder choices for the heavier bullets from 160 and up. Some are more temp stable, some are more accurate, some give better speeds. All a choice you will have to make.

RL26 has amazed me how well it fits in a case that would not even come close to getting RL25 in. I'm using it in quite a few cartridges this year. So, would this pound of RL-23 I have be better suited in the 150+ grain class of bullets? with Hrndy brass, WLR, 22" barrel?
